Taxilandia is a taxi ride that is a multi-city, hyperlocal journey through gentrification - a decolonial franchise. We come to your city and lead a process for telling histories of a neighborhood confronting social stigmas and the realities of gentrification in poetic and visual ways, resulting in fun, compelling, and hyperlocal experiences, directed by Flako.
Rides are reserved on your time. Think of Taxliandia as your premium ride around the neighborhood with a true member of that community.
Why this experience?
This taxi ride allows you to experience Bushwick in a way that allows you to integrate yourself with the neighborhood. Flako shows riders the true history of Bushwick and the impact of gentrification on the place he grow up in.
This is not a tour, but rather an Experience that allows you to dance with the complexities with an ever changing neighborhood
Ride Price Packages
Text with Flako
$5 Dollars
(Walking Experience through the neighborhood)
You will receive an email with instructions that will allow you to take in a walking experience via your phone that interconnects generations, social classes, races and cultures while enjoying the neighborhood on your own pace.
Standard Ride
$225 Dollars
(Up to Three People in the Car)
You will need to get three people in order to book the ride. This will be the standard ride, which is a hour and half experience throughout the streets of Bushwick immersing its audience in the flavors, sounds, sights and dynamic history of Bushwick.
Ride and Lunch With Flako
$500 Dollars
(Ride and a Meal for Three)
This includes the standard experience and an added bonus of lunch or dinner with Flako at one of Bushwick’s classic restaurants. Get to speak and hangout with a local artist for an hour after the experience.
